Wishing you a Very Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all my friends and associates new and old.
I truly hope and pray that you all are able to spend this day with loved ones.
I’d like to share a quote:
I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round, as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys. ~Charles Dickens

Let’s all work to keep the Spirit of Christmas and Goodwill to all EVERY single day and not just on 25 December. I’m planning on going over to my parents to exchange gifts and have a big Holiday dinner with siblings and friends.

Be Blessed and Merry Christmas,

Bill Lassiter

Back On the grind

I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving Holiday.

My Thanksgiving was fantastic and I enjoyed it with my parents, younger brother and sister and their kids. It’s good to be back in “Blog land” and I’ve got many things planned to hopefully make my blog much more personable as well as a great place to visit. Those of you who follow me on Facebook know I’ve got a LOT on my plate and have already started putting the pieces together to work towards my 2010 goals.
Besides gearing up to do follow-up marketing, I’m working a lead that I received from USleadlist which has been a great source of leads for me. This house is HUGE and definitely not a fixer-upper but a 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bath home with a boat dock out back! The house is assessed at 275k and located in one if the best areas here in Hampton Virginia.
I know what you’re thinking; slow ya roll Bill! But here’s why I’m thinking there might be a potential deal here. The owner called me after getting one of my post cards. He’s 95 and his wife recently died. He lives alone in the house along with a nurse who takes care of him. He said he’s got no other family members and he was considering selling the house to possibly move into something smaller. I met with him at the house and had my handyman look at the house. The house is in great shape and would only need some painting at minimum. Does this sound like a motivated seller or what? On top of that, he’s also retired Air Force so we have that common thread between us.
During our visit, after introducing myself and telling him about my background and business, I just let him talk and talk he did! He’s motivated for sure. He told me he was not sure about what he wanted to sell the house for. I resisted the urge to make an offer but casually suggested that he consider what he needed to live comfortably on.
So, we’ll see. I’m scheduled to call him Friday. Any suggestions?

Ok, that’s all I got for now but I’ll be back! :)
